The Detlev Rohwedder House, is a historically significant building in Berlin. It was constructed between 1935 and 1936, and at that time it was the largest office building in Europe. Initially it was the headquarters for the German Ministry of Aviation under Hermann Göring. Later it became known as the «House of Ministries» during the East German era. Today the Ministry of Finance is located in the Detlew Rohwedder House.

Regarding the mosaic illustration, the Max Lingner mural on the wall of the building is still intact. The mural, made of Meissen porcelain tiles, depicts scenes of East German life.
